Nikola Tesla

Ask a random person on the street, "Who is the smartest person who ever lived?" You would likely get a majority of responses claiming Albert Einstein takes the honor. Ask people who Nikola Tesla was and most would probably say, "Who?" This disparity is ironic and significant when you consider Einstein's view of Tesla. When asked how it felt to be the smartest man alive, Einstein replied, "I don't know. You'll have to ask Nikola Tesla."

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

  • 700 patents.
  • Discovered rotating magnetic fields

INVENTIONS BY TESLA:
Alternating current (AC power), the induction motor

INVENTIONS DERIVED FROM TESLA's DISCOVERIES & INVENTIONS:
Light bulb,

QUOTES:

  • "If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration."
  • "The gift of mental power comes from God, Divine Being; and if we concentrate our minds on that truth, we become in tune with this great power."
  • "Today's scientists have substituted mathematics for experiments, and they wander off through eqation after equation, and eventually build a structure which has no relation to reality."
  • "The desire that guides me in all I do is the desire to harness the forces of nature to the service of mankind."
  • "The scientists of today think deeply instead of clearly. One must be sane to think clearly, but one can think deeply and be quite insane."
  • “Only the existence of a field of force can account for the motions of the bodies as observed, and its assumption dispenses with space curvature. All literature on this subject is futile and destined to oblivion. So are all attempts to explain the workings of the universe without recognizing the existence of the ether and the indispensable function it plays in the phenomena. My second discovery was of a physical truth of the greatest importance. As I have searched the entire scientific records in more than a half dozen languages for a long time without finding the least anticipation, I consider myself the original discoverer of this truth, which can be expressed by the statement: There is no energy in matter other than that received from the environment.”
