Resonance

Resonance is a core concept in Vibrational Healing and Conscious Evolution. You will find many definitions for it, depending on which dictionary you use, but none of them describe it in the context of consciousness. To gain an understanding of resonance and why it is so important, you first need to understand the vibrational state of Matter.

In common usage resonance typically refers to full, rich reverberation that gives a pleasing sound to a musical instrument or a person's voice. It also refers to the enhancement of sound or vibration when it is reflected, such as an echo.

In the context of this website, resonance refers to two qualities that are less commonly used but far more relevant. 1. The quality of a vibration (sound) to induce a synchronous vibration in a nearby object and 2. The quality of a vibration (sound) to have an effect on the object that it synchronizes with.

A well known illustration is when a singer uses their voice to set up resonance in a glass, causing it to break. Wind blowing across a bridge can cause it to sway in rhythm, gradually gaining momentum until it collapses.

Resonance is a valuable tool in Era III Medicine. Vibrational sources such as sound are used to set up resonance in the human biofield and human body. Some examples:

  • Tuning forks can be used to identify energy blockage and to restore proper function.
  • In the above procedure, crystals and oils can be used to augment the effect of the tuning fork.
  • Binaural Beats can be used to entrain the brain.
  • The human voice and musical instruments can be used to affect one's emotional state and physical health.

Central to creating a resonate effect in the aura, energy lines, body, and emotional health, is the fact the the human body is 70-80% water by volume and over 99% water by molecular count. When you realize that a microwave oven cooks by virtue of setting up resonance with the water molecules in food, you can see that vibrations can have a profound effect.
